Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 16, 2026 · Accessibility isn’t a feature. It’s the floor.
01Our commitment
Tovora is committed to making the marketplace usable by everyone — including people with visual, motor, hearing and cognitive disabilities. We design against WCAG 2.1 Level AA from the first wireframe, not as a retrofit, and we test with assistive technology as part of every release.
02Conformance status
This prototype passes automated audits (Google Lighthouse) at 100/100 accessibility on every core page, covering colour contrast, heading order, target sizes, labels and landmarks. Full conformance against WCAG 2.1 AA requires a formal audit combining automated, manual and screen-reader testing — scheduled for the production build, with results published here.
03What we've done
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for all text, verified across every theme surface.
- Full keyboard support — every menu, picker, drawer and form is operable without a mouse.
- Screen-reader structure: landmarks, heading order, live regions for cart and toasts, described controls.
- Focus states on every interactive element, visible and high-contrast.
- Touch targets of at least 24×24 px throughout.
prefers-reduced-motionsupport — animations switch off for users who ask.- Alternative text on every product image; decorative elements hidden from assistive tech.
- Captions planned for all seller video when video launches.
04Known limitations
We know of no intentional limitations on this prototype. Anything we find during the production audit gets published here within 10 business days, together with a fix date. If you hit a barrier we haven’t found, tell us — it moves to the front of the queue.
05Feedback & enforcement
Email accessibility@tovora.example or use the Help center chat. We reply within 2 business days. If you’re unhappy with our response, you may contact your national enforcement body (in the US: the Department of Justice or your state attorney general; in the EU: your member state’s enforcement authority under the European Accessibility Act).
